Greece assumes initiatives to strengthen its relations with France and the Francophonie, diplomatic sources say

Greece has assumed a series of initiatives to strengthen its relations with France and with the Francophonie, diplomatic sources said on the occasion of the International Francophonie Day on March 20.

Greece became member of the International Francophonie Organisation in 2004.
Speaking in parliament on the Foreign Ministry’s new organisation, Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias underlined that the French language will become again mandatory language for those that want to join the diplomatic body adding that this decision it not coincidental but reflects a specific policy.
